Community Communications Committee:

On February 1, 2005, Frederick County has adopted an ammendment to the Fire Prevention Code. Ordinance number 05-01-362 is now available here.

Architectural Control Committee (ACC):

All ACC requests MUST be submitted in writing to Creekside Park HOA, P.O. Box 398, Walkersville, MD 21793.

All requests for changes to the outside appearance of the property must be submitted in writing for review to the Architectural Control Committee (ACC) before the change is made. The ACC has 60 days to review the request and grant approval, request additional information, or reject the change. The sender bears the burden of proof of delivery to the HOA.

Requests should include the howmeowner’s name, address, lot number, phone number, and a detailed description of the plans and specifications including the type, size, materials, color, and location of the improvement. Drawings of plans should be included, if applicable, to show location on the lot.

Improvements include, but are not limited to, decks, pools, fences, playground equipment, patios, sheds, retaining walls, landscaping changes, and rain collection systems.

Any necessary permits required by Frederick County, and/or the Town of Walkersville, must be obtained by the homeowner in addition to approval by the Architectural Control Committee.

Please refer to the HOA covenants or contact Steve Johnson at 301-898-3971.

Grounds Committee

The Grounds Committee is a group of community members whose goal it is to maintain and improve the appearance of our community. The Grounds Committee is responsible for the weekly maintenance of the common grounds, which includes all greenspace areas in the cul-de-sacs, along the creek and community park. The committee is also responsible for the upkeep of the reforestation areas, bioretention ponds, stormceptor, flowerbeds at the entrance of the community and trees in the common grounds.

The Grounds Committe is currently working on plans to improve the appearance and safety of the neighborhood. Improvements such as additional landscaping and fencing around the culverts are currently under review. Community members are welcome to submit their suggestions or concerns at any time to grounds@creeksidemd.org

Grievance Committee

All Grievances MUST be submitted in writing to Creekside Park HOA, P.O. Box 398, Walkersville, MD 21793.

Procedure Change: The procedure for filing formal Grievances has been changed. The Board voted to adopt an updated Grievance Procedure which requires that all grievances be submitted in writing and signed by the sender. The complete procedure is available for your review via this link.

As always, homeowners are encouraged to discuss problems directly with their neighbors prior to submitting a written grievance.

Animal Control - Our four-legged friends are an integral part of the community. While they are loved, the less than neighborly behavior of some of their owners often brings complaints. You must scoop your pet's poop.

Also, please remember that Frederick County Animal Control 'containment' regulations state that pets (dogs and cats) are required to be contained within a homeowners property or physical control at all times. Pets are not allowed to roam freely through the neighborhood. Please, keep your pet fenced or leashed at all times.
